Sophie's Bar and Restaurant Dublin

Sophie's, 33 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2

If your staying at The Dean Hotel and equally if you're not, you must try out Sophie's bar and restaurant. With a view of Dublin all around you whether you dine inside or out, you can drop in for a drink, for breakfast, lunch or dinner and for brunch on the weekends. After checking into our room and once I was finished taking countless photographs, we headed upstairs to Sophie's for a cocktail. They have a short but sweet cocktail menu with 8 delicious options. I tried out Thinking of You; Absolut Vodka, White Cacao, Raspberry, Lemon, Whites and Peychauds bitters. As the restaurant was booked up for the night we savored our cocktails and then headed out into the city for some adventure. We couldn't leave the hotel without trying some of the food they have on offer, so we dragged ourselves out of bed the next morning for breakfast. We were rewarded for our efforts with a mouthwatering breakfast menu. My boyfriend went with the classic and dependable Full Irish, while I choose a stack of buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup and orange butter, not forgetting some bacon on top. I've never had orange butter but it was strangely delicious and the 100% pure Canadian maple syrup was so good I was tempted to grap the bottle and hid it in my bag. I couldn't come close to finishing my pancakes there was so much it just defeated me. I highly recommend dropping in for breakfast/brunch, the views alone are worth it.

What's your favorite breakfast spot?
